For one-way and roundtrip transfers within Saskatoon city limits and within 25KM of the city, payment is taken online via credit card when you book your transfer.

For long-distance and rural transfers outside of Saskatoon city limits which include up 25KM from our office, if the transfer is requested online we will capture your payment details and you will be charged in full including km. Extra waiting time will be billed if incurred.

If you call to book, we will take your payment information over the phone.

Currently, we do not offer direct billing to private insurance companies or health services. The service may be eligible for coverage under private insurance plans by submitting the receipts to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Best to call your Insurer ahead of time and discuss with them about your Insurance plan.

You can cancel your transfer anytime by calling in and speaking with a dispatcher. Cancellations 24 hours or greater before a booked transfer will be issued a full refund. Cancellations within 24 hours of a booking will be charged an administration fee of $75.00, and issued a refund for the remaining balance.

Your refund and any administration fees will be automatically calculated and the refund will be issued to your credit card within 3-5 business days.

Yes, we allow one family member to escort you free of charge. Children under 12 must have an escort.
If required, one (1) security escort can accompany the patient, free of charge.

At Prairie Stretcher Services, we are committed to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients' personal information. We collect personal information solely for the purpose of providing Non-emergency medical services, and will only use this information for that specific purpose.

We may collect personal information such as name, date of birth, address and contact information. This information is securely stored and accessible only to authorized personnel.

We will not disclose personal information to third parties unless required by law or authorized by the individual. We will take all necessary measures to safeguard personal information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

None! Give us a call at any time to book your transfer. Our dispatchers are always ready to take your inquiries and bookings. Typically transfers are booked/ arranged days ahead of your transfer date.

Pre-booked transfers take precedence over last minute bookings, all this means is that we may be slightly delayed in getting to your transfer.

Prairie Stretcher Services is based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. As well, we transfer to any destination of your choice within the province.

We have transported clients to Manitoba, Alberta, British Columbia and even the United States!

Absolutely! Just give us a call and provide us with the name of the person(s) we are transferring, the date, and time of booking.

Please be aware that prebookings and other scheduled bookings will take precedence, however we will work with you to still accommodate your transfer.

The customer is responsible for paying the bill. However in some cases the hospital/facility or a relative may pay the bill. We encourage all clients to call their insurance company ahead of time and discuss if their current Insurance Plan will cover the cost of a non-emergent stretcher transfer.

Our services are qualified as a medical expense on Income Taxes.
